Delivery information

Standard delivery within New Zealand by courier or freight carrier is included in the displayed product price unless stated otherwise.

Typical turnaround: approximately 4 weeks for current products using standard powder-coat colours. Custom powder coating and other non-standard options may extend this timeframe. Final timing is confirmed after your order has been reviewed and accepted.

Standard delivery

Orders are packed for transport and sent to the delivery address supplied with the order. Standard New Zealand courier / freight delivery is included in the displayed product price. We generally use Daily Freight and Mainfreight, depending on the product size and destination.

Special freight situations

Remote rural addresses, islands, difficult-access locations or unusually large orders may require a freight adjustment. Oversized parcels may also need to be delivered to a town address or held at a freight depot where standard rural delivery is not available. If a different delivery arrangement or additional charge is required, we will contact you before manufacture proceeds.

Receiving your order

Inspect the packaging for visible freight damage.
Photograph damaged packaging before opening it.
Check the supplied items against your order before starting work.
Report missing, incorrect or freight-damaged items promptly and, where practical, within 7 days of delivery. Include photographs of any visible damage. This does not limit your statutory rights.

Installation fixings

Structural screws, bolts and anchors are not supplied. The correct fixings depend on the mounting surface and supporting structure, so they must be selected to suit the actual installation.

Custom-made orders & returns

All products sold through The Outdoor Shade Factory are custom-made to the dimensions, colours and options selected with the order.

We do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect measurements, incorrect selections, or other non-fault reasons. This does not limit any rights you may have under New Zealand consumer law where a product is faulty, misdescribed or does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee.

Delivery timing

Manufacturing time is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date. We will let you know if a custom finish, component availability or freight issue is expected to materially change the timing of your order.
